Metal kapala-shaped bowl on a pedestal

Tibet, 18th–19th century

Hammered and cast metal. The decorative ceremonial bowl with a hinged lid features a double vajra (Tibetan dorje) surmounted by a vajra spike. The pedestal is decorated with skulls, flames, and three syllables.
